Scooters
This is the sort of bike I used to ride to University.
A Honda Spacey, 250cc. Last imported into Australia in 1989.
Didn't go too fast, up to 110 on a freeway, but you could really feel the bike
vibrating, and the wind dragging on you, unless you had a perspex shield on the
front. But it had real get up and go, pulling off at lights faster than some
1000cc motorbikes.
Unfortunately I had an accident on this, (had a few actually), but the last one
I got cut off by a totally blind driver, and it got written off. :(

So I bought myself one of these, second-hand.
A Yamaha Majesty, 250cc.
As good as the Spacey, expect it was newer, less engine wear. But this only
lasted me a month, when inexplicably it slipt when I went across a wet train
rail, and slid into a pole, writing it off. :( Beware the Melbourne tram rail!

So I wasn't too impressed, but I learnt my lesson. Be very careful on those
tram rails.
And I went and bought myself another! A new Majesty this time, and it is green.
Almost black, like some of the BMW cars.
Unfortunately I don't have a picture of a green one here, so this will have to
do. It's a gold one, Champagne they call it, same year model as mine.
They bike can really tear along, and doesn't vibrate like the Honda Spacey, and
the seats are real comfortable. And you should see the luggage space it has!
These days though, I don't ride it much, so I'm thinking of selling it. Anyone
want to buy a used scooter?
